Ruitenberg makes history

The family company Ruitenberg Ingredients was founded in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, in 1938 by Willem Ruitenberg. It started as a trading company for food ingredients, especially starch, pectins and liquorice extracts. In 1967 Willem’s son Cornelis took over the company and recognized the importance of innovation. The first laboratory was built in 1973. The company also started its own production. In 1997 Ad de Haas took the lead. The company moved from Amersfoort to Twello in 2003, where a new state of the art technology centre was build to reply to all developments. In 2011 change of management took place under the lead of Cornelis Ruitenberg to support the innovative developments for the future.
